What should I eat?
This is the most frequent question I receive. Most people want me to tell them what to eat and write up meal plans. However, the one thing that I know is life changes, so the meal plan will not change with it. I prefer to teach people how to fish vs. giving them the fish (wild-caught of course).
However, we learned how to walk before we ran. Here are some guidelines to get you started:
1. Eat a conscious breakfast within an hour of waking, including a protein, healthy fat, and carbohydrate (preferably a vegetable): Example: 1-2 Organic, free range eggs with 1 cup of broccoli & spinach, topped with 1/4 of an avocado.
2. Have a conscious lunch 3-5 hours after breakfast: Salad with 4 ounces of salmon topped with hummus and 1-2 T of olive oil dressing.
3. Have a conscious snack @ 3 or 4 pm to prevent mid-afternoon slump: apple with almond butter, red pepper dipped in hummus or guacamole, pumpkin seeds with raspberries, protein shake mixed with almond milk.
4. Enjoy a conscious dinner with your family: Dark meat chicken & Vegetable soup with Pears & walnuts topped with honey for dessert.

Also, I am so honored to be a part of a team and movement toward conscious weight loss. I believe we are reaching an end of an era of calorie counting, feeling guilty, and shame around your relationship with food.
