I wanted to send out a couple of RESET smoothie recipes just in case you are not joining us. These whole food smoothies are great ANY time of the day. Do not force yourself to have these first thing in the morning, instead you may need one in the middle of the day or for dinner. We need to check in with the body first by asking if you want hot or cold and sweet or savory. If you are craving hot and savory, these smoothies will not satiate you and may cause you to crave sugar or feel restricted. However, if you are craving cold and fresh, these recipes are exactly what you need!
The best thing about being a gypsy is living with friends and learning from them. My friend Sophie shared her favorite refresh smoothie with me and now it is the star of the RESET program.
- 1/2 apple
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 T hemp seeds
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1 inch of Ginger
- 1 date
- Blend with ice and water to your desired consistency. DRINK a lot, no skimping.
This one was inspired by one of my clients when we meet at a fun juice bar in San Diego. She came up with this version of our favorite drink.
- Pinch of Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
- Pinch of Pepper
- 1/2 Banana or 1/4 of an Avocado
- 1 T Nut Butter
- 2 T Raw Cacao
- 1 cup Spinach
- 1/8 cup of hemp Seeds
- Blend with ice and water to your desired consistency.
The RESET is not about following a program perfectly, instead it is meant to help you RE-CONNECT with your body and nutrition. During the 3-week RESET we are trying these whole food smoothies, kitchari, weekly vitamin C cleanse, awesome soups, less Combined Meals, more Vegan Meals and rotating the different Meal Types each day and week.
