What symptoms are you living with?

If only 25% of our genetics is hereditary, what about the other 75%?
Instead of focusing on our family history as our Achilles heel, let’s consider these issues as our more sensitive areas.
For example, you have a family member with a history of stomach cancer and you have chronic heartburn.
Do you take your prescription medicine, cross your fingers and hope for the best? Or do you seek out alternative and ancient health tips to support and reverse your heartburn?
The main reason I became a nutritionist was my weakest link, my digestive tract. I lived with feeling bad for so many years. When I moved to California, saw a nutritionist and felt relief in 3 days, I was a believer in a different way of working WITH our bodies.
What are your thoughts and beliefs about your sensitive areas?
Do you believe your body WANTS to be healthy? Or do you just live with symptoms that inhibit you to live the life of your dreams?
Next time you have an ailment, pain or chronic issue flare-up, observe how you respond.
- Are you angry and annoyed that this is happening to you?
- Do you feel powerless and just put your head in the sand?
- Do you try to attack it, research the perfect solution and try to make it work?
These responses are from our subconscious programming. We create our subconscious from ages 0-8, and this is how we relate to stress, life issues and cultivate habits. The above responses are from a place of fear and can be associated with trauma.
I relate to this programming as your Food Relationship Type (Take the NEW Quiz here). And from the questions above you may be a…
- Rebel-er:
- Numb-er
- Guilt-er
- Comfort-er
- Connect-or
We can be all of the above Food Relationship Types at once. How we are operating, thinking and feeling can be causing us more stress than the food we are eating.
I am noticing many clients and friends live with a laundry list of symptoms. We have to stay ahead of diseases because it is way more difficult to reverse them. The best response to any of your symptoms is one of curiosity, compassion and gentleness.

During my programs, we review our Symptom Check List every month or quarter. Most people are shocked by how many symptoms they had that were alleviated in a short time.
