The skinny on our largest organ

Did you get it, the skin IS our largest organ. Hopefully you smiled and used more facial muscles for a mini face lift. I recently went to a Independent Beauty Expo in Manhattan. Wow, the number of conscious entrepreneurs sharing natural, organic skin and beauty products was amazing.
The skin is our largest organ with a total area of about 20 square feet. The skin protects us from microbes, helps regulate body temperature and your skin cells require energy to eliminate toxins to repair and regenerate themselves. To support our overall health we need to request and require that our skin products contain quality ingredients, then the suppliers will have to change their strategies.
Europe law bans 1,328 chemicals from cosmetics that are known or suspected to cause cancer, genetic mutation, reproductive harm or birth defects. In comparison, the U.S. FDA has only banned or restricted 11 chemicals from cosmetics.
As I was diving into more research, I found a site that said it all, and did a great job.
