Lesson 10 of43
In Progress
For Comfort-er
You’re a comforter! You are feeling EVERYTHING!
You may be pacing and opening up the fridge 3-5 times and don’t know what you need but you know you need something. You may have just had a difficult conversation or you haven’t been supporting your mind, body, and spirit lately.
When we humans gather, food is always present. Food connects us by family, by culture, by heritage. Feeling safe and secure is a primal need.
Being a Comfort eater is completely normal. You may have had some of your favorite childhood memories that included food. When our stress hormones flare up, we want to soothe ourselves with food.
When you have these flare-ups, review your mantra and follow these steps!
