Hope you had a restful holiday weekend. I had the amazing opportunity to go to Malibu and up the hill in Topanga Canyon to Jimmy Rosenberg’s home, the owner of my favorite on the go Vegetable Juice, Evolution.


Vegetable juice provides your body with activated enzymes, immediate vitamins & minerals, and hydration.  Juicing on your own and receiving the immediate effects is ideal.

However, if you are like me, and do not always have the chance to juice or live on a boat part time with a very small fridge, this grab & go juice will offer you support until your next meal. The Essential Greens with lime has the lowest sugar content, however if you are new to juicing start out with one of the other flavors with a bit more sweetness.

New research suggests some foods have the power to guard skin from the damage caused by the sun’s UV radiation. These healthy foods could add inner protection against sunburn and wrinkles at the cellular level.

1. Citrus Fruits; lemons & limes have limonene which can lower the risk of skin cancer by 34%
2. Green Tea has an antioxidant called Epigallocatechin gallate (ECGg), which support elimination of free radicals
3. Carrots & Red Peppers reduce sunburn sensitivity.
4. Spinach has lutein and zeaxanthin, which has shown to halt cell growth prompted by UV light
5. Salmon & Walnuts are both high in Omega 3’s and essential fatty acids that guard against DNA changes that can lead to cancer
